9 Tips for TV Binge Watching

Here are some tips to get through the

Here are some tips to get through the winter break TV binge watching:

1. Pick your show. Make sure that the show is interesting and engaging, without being too heavy. The last thing you want is to get bored after watching thirty straight hours of pure drama.

2. Make sure to find a good way to watch before. Rent DVDs, find the show on Netflix, or look on Amazon Prime. Plan ahead- you don't want to be stuck at 11 PM because you find out that the next few episodes aren't online yet.

3. Find a comfortable spot. If you’re going to be sitting in the same place for a few hours, be sure that it’s somewhere that won’t give you a back ache or cramped legs.

4. Warn your friends and family before. If you let them know that you’re going to spend the next few days engrossed in television, they’ll be less likely to bother you.

5. Stock up on snacks. Getting out of bed in the middle of an episode to get food just isn't worth it. Keep some snacks nearby so you don't have to deal with any pesky moving.

6. Stay hydrated! It's important that you are awake and alert so you don't miss a moment of your favorite show, so don't forget to drink lots of water.

7. Give your eyes a rest. If you’re staring at the screen for too long, they’re going to start to hurt. Don’t worry, you don’t have to stop—just make sure to have some eye drops at hand.

8. Don’t get distracted. Remember, you’re doing this to watch that TV show that all of your friends keep talking about, not to play online games all night.

9. Find a new show, and quick. When you finish binge watching a show, it can be hard to tear yourself away from the screen. If you have a new show in mind when you finish the old one, you shouldn’t even have to get out of bed.
