There's nothing more annoying than trying to light a campfire when it's raining outside. You've set aside a few days for a camping trip and, dang it, you want some s'mores over a campfire! Try this old camping trick -- use birch bark for kindling. The thin white bark from birch trees is easily recognizable and, when peeled into thin strips, will catch on fire easily even when it's soaking wet.
