So it's your eighth trip to New York City, and all of a sudden, Times Square has lost its glamour, feeling more like an over-sized billboard. What will you do with your weekend?
I highly recommend the bars on 14th Street in the Union Square area. It's a fun, relaxed area where a lot of people who live in New York hang out.
Specifically, the Crocodile Lounge hosts a happy hour that offers a free, freshly made pizza with every happy hour beverage you order. Be sure to have a dollar or two on hand, because the man who makes the pizzas gets very upset if he doesn't receive a tip. However, the entire staff is very friendly, and one of the bartenders looks like Taylor Swift.
To get to the Crocodile Lounge, take the metro to Union Square - 14th Street, and upon exiting, walk to your left. It, among many other bars, is on 14th street between 1st and 2nd avenue.
