Scotch, whiskey and cognac are best enjoyed in a snifter, by themselves, so the flavors can be fully released. For extra flavor, heat the snifter glass beforehand. Pour a small amount of very hot water into the snifter, swirl it around, and pour out. Quickly dry the glass and immediately pour your drink.
