If your cholesterol levels are high, take note of this weird tip.
Body creams and lotions that contain ingredients like coconut or sunflower oil might not be helping your cholesterol levels. It's well known that topical creams and lotions can cross the skin barrier and enter the bloodstream, and the same is thought to go for fats in lotions.
Read the ingredient labels in your skincare products -- some of them probably contain oils or even straight-up cholesterol! If this is the case, try to make a switch to oat-based or beeswax products and see if it makes a difference at your next lipid screening.
