How to Eat Healthy: Salads

Salads - the dreaded lunchtime supplement to a meal as swimsuit season approaches. We can't add cheese, and we shouldn't put much dressing on it, etc, etc, etc...

Okay, eating rabbit food will not give you energy or make you healthy. Instead, make your salad a treat! Add berries, fruits, avacados, cherry tomatoes, and everything else that you like. With all of those healthy ingredients, a little feta cheese won't hurt you - and you will probably need the calories anyway. There's also nothing wrong with a few croutons. At the end of the day, you're putting tons of healthy nutrition into your system, and a few carbs aren't going to hinder that.

As for the dressing, with all of those favorite ingredients, you won't need to smother it in ranch. Looking for a sweet touch? Mix honey and lemon juice to make a healthy and natural topping. Like it tangy? Mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a splash of lime juice. Remember - these fats aren't bad for you; in fact, your body needs them!

Remember, a diet shouldn't starve you. Put healthy things into your system, and you will naturally shed a few pounds, feel great, and you won't have to revolve your life around your meal plan.
