If I go even one day without washing my hair it looks like I haven't showered in a week, so I've had to become creative over the years to keep it looking clean during moments when a shower wasn't available. Dry shampoo seemed to weigh my hair down, but baby powder works wonders - and it's a heck of a lot cheaper. Just be careful not too put too much onto your scalp, as you don't want to turn your hair white. Afterwards, massage into the scalp and hair roots, and you're good to go.
