Keep Contacts on Hand

Contact lens wearers, take note: new airline restrictions

Contact lens wearers, take note: new airline restrictions prevent you from taking bottles of contact solution on flights in your carry-on luggage. You can use them if you can find travel-sized portions, but I've found they're hard to get ahold of. Bottom line: pack a solution-filled contact lens case AND your glasses in your carry-on luggage. Nothing dries out your eyes more than the extremely dry air during a long flight, and you'll be thankful when you want to rip out your contacts and actually have somewhere to store them.
