Losing your anonymity—Nick Brendon

Once we saw the first three episodes (of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), I knew we were doing something really good. We were fortunate because Warner Brothers television channel was just starting out and they had no one-hour shows. We felt that this meant that our show would be on for a while if the quality was passable, and we were lucky because it turned out to be a great series.

There is no class that prepares you for when you find your anonymity is gone, so you kind of take it one challenge at a time. If people want your autograph it means you are doing a good job and you should sign for them because it is in the unwritten contract. Being recognized opens doors but you have to know what you can and cannot say and where you can and cannot go.
