No Iron? No Problem.

Here is a tip I gave a friend

Here is a tip I gave a friend recently. My friend went on a trip and needed an iron for a shirt to wear to an appointment. However, the motel that he was staying charged extra for laundry type services. So, I had an idea.

I told him to look at the label, and determine if the shirt was indeed machine washable (this helps as if it is dry clean only the tip most likely won't work). See what type of water it should be washed in (some clothes are instructed to be washed in either hot, warm,or cold water).

My friend's shirt's label instructed for warm water. I told them to soak the shirt in warm water. Squeeze all the excess water out. Spread a towel or sheet on a large hard flat surface (they used the floor), and place the shirt down on top of it flat. Get a large and heavy book. Make sure the book is clean on the outside. After that, I instructed him to press the shirt down all over with the book. He went the extra mile and even kneeled on the book for added pressure. Then after that, let it dry.

The shirt actually ended up pretty wrinkled free. I will say to utilize this tip, make sure you have about a good hour to spare. This is for the drying time. Other than, that your now ironed shirt is wrinkled free with no help from an actual iron.
