Places to study at Trent

Sometime even our small Trent University gets very busy. It tends to happen during the mid-terms and exams periods. At that time our lovely, but small Bata library is usually fully packed and it's hard to find a good spot in there. Plus, wifi signal drop every couple minutes caused by massive usage by big number of people. In one word, it's terrible to study in the library during mid-term or exam rush. I had found a couple alternative places to study on campus. Here is my list:

1. Athletic complex-Cafeteria; nice spot to finish your readings, assignments or just sit and enjoy the day.
2. Champlain- just outside of residence; if weather is nice, it's a perfect place to study!
3. Lady Eaton- near college cabin; A couple of nice chairs and a sofa is more then enough for good read.
4. Environmental complex- right under the stairs; Great place for a group meeting.
5. Science complex; There are a couple different spots in science complex mainly on the main floor. Probably, the best one is near graduate studies office with huge windows facing OC parking lot. Go check it out!
6. Gzowski- cafeteria and near the end of hole way, close to the river. Both nice places to study. cafeteria gets very busy closer to lunch. However, still great space with lots of natural light.
7. DNA- cafeteria and outside of nursing office; Amazing places to get tasks done. Both are my favourites.
8. Bata- media rooms; they are located just outside of It office. You would have to reserve them in prior. However, they are worth it. It's a small room with huge 27'' iMac in it. You can use it for your creative projects. It's a great room to study in. Additionally, it's very very quiet.

You can also study in cafeterias after breakfast, lunch or dinner is done and most of the people are gone.

Good luck with your studies!
