-Start you investigation with a bold statement by revealing what you have uncovered and what you have found out by writing "an invsetigation has revealed".

-Make sure you include what, where, when,why and who in the beginning of your investigation. It needs to be hard hitting so that the readers are aware of what your investigation is about and what it will feature.

-As a writer you need to ask yourself "What's my story?", "What am i going to uncover?" and keep note of all the subjects you have contacted

-list all allegations at the top of your investigative piece to make it more appealing to the readers
