Chew Gum for Airplane-induced Ear Popping

When traveling by air, give your older children

When traveling by air, give your older children gum to chew during takeoff and landing. This will stretch the ear canals, promote swallowing, and ease ear pressure. For your little travelers, offer a bottle or sippy cup during these pressure changes to relieve their ear pressure. Adults, chew gum too! It helps during pressue changes and also gives nervous flyers something to distract them during takeoff and landing.
