Don't Live on The Scale

Don’t weigh yourself every day! When you’re dieting, it’s tempting to get on the scale all the time to check your progress. Your weight changes depending on hydration, water retention (hello, potato chip-induced bloating), and hormones. If you hop on the scale every day, you won’t see much progress -- or worse, you’ll see small gains that might discourage you. Pick a day -- and time of day -- each week to weigh in; if you’re eating and exercising properly, you’ll see weight loss every week. This positive reinforcement will help you stay on track in the long run.
