Double Up to Cut Costs

Planning a wedding can be an expensive business,

Planning a wedding can be an expensive business, so savvy brides are always looking for ways to cut costs without cutting corners.

A top money saving trick is to make the details really earn their place in your wedding, here's how...

Personalise favours and use them as place settings or escort cards.

From the breakfast to the buffet with cake and canapes in between it's easy to overdo the food on your big day. Why not have substantial canapes instead of a starter, and/or serve your weddding cake as dessert? Or for mega multi-tasking make those personalised favours edible, then serve with coffee as pudding!

Getting married in the high season? You're not the only one. Why not contact your venue to see if anyone else is getting married the same weekend and offer to split the decorating costs?

Weddingmoon!! Getting married abroad means you get the big day and the holiday but just one bill! Double the fun at half the price, what could be better!?

Church wedding? If you're marrying in a church, check if your date coincides with any religous holidays (Christmas, Easter, Harvest Festival etc.) If so the church may already be decked with flowers on your big day, speak to your vicar to find out!
