If you have straight, thin hair like me, you understand how annoying hair static can be; my already rather flat hair sticks to my head and loses body even more than usual. Sigh. Or it sticks up haphazardly all over the place (my hair and I are continuously in the midst of a never-ending dispute).
Dryer sheets are perfect at getting rid of hair static, and if they are scented they also leave a bit of their freshness behind. Pass through a selection of hair with the dryer sheet and, like magic, the static is gone.
