For guys who don’t cook—The Superdish

When I first lived on my own, my

When I first lived on my own, my mother clearly recognized that left to my own devices, I would be eating cereal all day unless a better plan was put in place. Her solution was simple—she gave me a big casserole-type dish with a lid (I called it a Superdish).
I quickly discovered that all I had to do was find a hunk of meat, potatoes and maybe a few carrots and then stuff them in the dish, put the lid on and then put the dish in the oven at 325. I could take a nap for one hour then go to the oven and pull out the Superdish and voila—a culinary masterpiece. In later years, I got creative and would pour juice or sauce in the dish—the bulk of the time, these additions tasted OK, too. The Superdish= Easy and Edible—at least by my standards.
