Getting Children Involved With Gardening

Creating a vegetable-cutting flower garden is a wonderful way for children to connect with nature and have a hands on experience with gardening. Seeds are the best way to go unless it's late in the season. You can teach kids a lot about soil, math, the cycles of nature, the importance of the sun, and where the vegetables they see in the grocery store actually come from.
