Homemade Bug Catcher

Bees and wasps are a surefire way to

Bees and wasps are a surefire way to ruin a good time outdoors, and bug-catchers are pricey and don’t always target bees and wasps. Enter the homemade bee-catcher -- works every time and costs about 10 cents. Take a plastic 2-liter pop bottle and cut off the top third of it. Remove the lid from the bottle. Fill the bottom piece of the bottle with a mixture of sugar, water, and red food dye. Flip the top part of the bottle over (pointy, top-side down) and set it inside the bottom section. Set the trap outside on a patio table or deck. Bees crawl through the small hole to get to the red sugar-water, but are unable to find their way back out through the small opening.
