How to cool a warm beverage fast—Part A

I learned this one after playing hockey on

I learned this one after playing hockey on a hot summer night. My teammates and I had a few beers after the game and quickly were out of cool ales. However, I did have a few loose beer cans that had been in my car’s trunk however they were about 100 degrees—i.e. pretty darn hot. Turns out that didn’t matter. One player took the warm beer can, put it on its side on ice in the now empty beer cooler and then spun the can quickly on its side. The heat was transferred out (or the cold in –I am not a Physics major) and now the can was ice cold and ready to be consumed.
