I'm always finding recipes on my tablet, but I'm too terrified to put my Kindle Fire HD anywhere near the kitchen when I cook -- I'm a notorious spilling, slopping, kitchen accident-having klutz. Tech companies sell waterproof accessories for this reason, but they're expensive.
Try this instead: find a sandwich bag that best fits the size of your tablet and put your device inside it. If there's any extra space in the bag, pull it tightly and tape the edges so the touchscreen still works properly. This solution is much cheaper and easier than buying sleeves for your tablet.
