Debt can become more than just a burden. For many people, getting deep into debt can be something they never escape from. From student loans to credit cards, car loans and mortgages. It seems part of living in modern America is borrowing vast amounts of money, many times without the means to pay it back. So what do you do?
It's all about attitude. Take on the role of the predator, the aggressor. Your debt is an enemy, to be destroyed. Come up with a plan for its systematic destruction.
Pool together your debt, make a list. What has the highest interest? Lowest balance? Start there.
Pick a credit card with a relatively low balance. That is your first target. Now aggressively pay it off. Have some extra cash? Take it to the bank and throw it towards that balance. Pick up an extra shift at Wendy's, and only spend that money on repaying that credit card. Before you know it, the balance will shrink until it's eradicated.
Now feel inspired, and let that attitude and feeling snowball. Pick your next target, and attack like a rabid wolf. Or Rambo.
Yeah. Be like Rambo. And let Bank of America/CitiBank/Chase be your Brian Dennehy.
