Getting involved in a support group is definitely one of the
important things to do in my opinion. I didn’t attend any
support group events until ten years ago, when a friend
persuaded me to go to a meeting. The food was good and I
saw that people were doing pretty well and not feeling sorry
for themselves, which was great considering how long some
of them had been living with Parkinson’s. They kept inviting
me back so I continued to go to the meetings!
