When I was in Driver's Education, our teacher had us make posters about what we had learned that year. The most important point that was displayed along the walls of the room: don't drive on the sidewalk.
With Terry Buckle, the ex-bus-driving-instructor turned Mayor of St. Edmundsbury, England recently driving over the sidewalk into a convenience store, this little tip is more important than ever to keep in mind. (The conspiracy side of me thinks it went down like this:
City council - a chauffeur is not in the budget.
Mayor Buckle - Is it in the budget now?)
So next time you buckle up and get excited about driving to pick up a can of tuna, remember to get out of your car and close the door before arriving at the register.
