I loved my cable and DVR. But I soon had to make a tough choice. My cable/internet bill was averaging around $120 a month. After a while I just could not justify paying that much when many of the shows I liked to watch I could watch online for free, or on HuluPlus or Netflix for much less money a month. So when I got rid of cable, my bill is now $54 a month for internet. Still more then I think it should be, since it is just internet. But not as much as my old bill. And you don't have to worry about not being able to watch your shows on your TV. An Apple TV is a $99 investment you can buy for you TV, if it is not already internet ready. That way you can watch Netflix, HuluPlus and whatever you might buy on iTunes all on your computer.
