Seller ratings matter

I quit smoking and was at a loss as to what to do with my life so I did what any normal person would do--I started buying baseball cards on Ebay. I learned you can spend a lot of money fast and win a ton of auctions if you bid the most. My tip is that you should pay attention to the Ebay seller ratings(or whatever rating system applies to the marketplace you are purchasing from). After buying a card that was 'shaved' to look in mint condition and also finding out a Mickey Mantle card I purchased disintegrated (it was advertised as in fair condition) in my hands while opening the box, I concluded that the ratings of sellers matter and the comments are of importance. The worst cards I purchased were from sellers with some questionable comments posted.
